In addition to mathematical research, for the past 10 years Vasily has been involved in teaching mathematics to children and teenagers (in various formats). He has participated in organizing several summer schools with mathematical and humanities focus.
In mathematics, he is most interested in how different areas of geometry are connected to each other and to what extent geometry can or cannot be subordinated to algebra.
In teaching, he most enjoys when he manages to help people who found mathematics too difficult or too boring. And in general, he loves when studying mathematics helps to change oneself and one’s thinking.
